Our annual bonfire was held at Mere and Tabley Community Club on the 4th November and was the usual success. Despite the threat of rain, which didn’t arrive until almost the end of the proceedings, we welcomed a large crowd.
The flashing wands, multi coloured fibre optic torches and waving sparklers added to the magnificent firework display and must have lit up the sky for miles around.
There was a brisk sale of tasty pork buns and hotdogs and the bar staff were kept busy all evening.
The raffle table groaned with prizes especially aimed at the children. I think the anticipation of winning a prize is the highlight of their evening and great is their excitement when they win and disappointment when they don’t.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to such a fun evening and we hope to see you all next year.
